The famous Heilige Nachten dome is back!

You will feast your eyes on this imposing church with medieval wall and vault paintings. Because of the dome's transparent roof, you don't miss anything of the view, but you still lie comfortably. The area lends itself well to hiking and biking. Either way, you will experience a special night in Groningen's Noordbroek. Host Aagtje welcomes you and provides your delicious breakfast if necessary. And immediately reserve a delicious drink board at Aagtje for complete indulgence. History

The imposing cross church was built in the early 14th century in a predominantly late Romanesque architectural style, well recognized by the layout and workmanship of the walls; a lower and upper zone with much ornamental masonry in the upper zone. But also with a Gothic look due to the high walls and matching tall pointed arch windows. In the interior, notice the domed vaults, numerous wall and vault paintings and two remnants of the Catholic era: a sacrament niche in the choir and a piscina. The interior is very rich with a choir screen, a richly carved pulpit and a Schnitger organ. The local committee organizes activities such as exhibitions, lectures, (organ) concerts and tours. Church services are also still held regularly. From now on, you can spend the night there in collaboration with Holy Nights.
